Terms of Use

The terms and conditions governing your use of connectMyClub.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the connectMyClub website, mobile app, and related services (the "Service"), provided by Arden:Twenty, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 10922374, registered office at Accountancy House, Priory Road, Kenilworth, England, CV8 1LL ("connectMyClub", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old to create and manage your own account. Junior (under-18) members may use the Service only through a guardian-linked account set up and supervised by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for that junior's use of the Service.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that takes place under your account. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

3. Clubs and membership

connectMyClub provides a platform for sports clubs to manage membership, events, communications, and payments. Clubs and their administrators are responsible for the accuracy of the information they publish, for managing who is admitted as a member, and for complying with their own rules, policies, and applicable law (including safeguarding obligations towards junior members).

connectMyClub is not a party to the relationship between a club and its members, and we are not responsible for a club's decisions about membership, events, or conduct.

4. Junior members and safeguarding

The Service includes safeguarding controls intended to protect junior members, such as restricting a junior's visibility in member lists and their access to direct messages, group chats, message boards, and announcements. These protections are enabled by default; a club administrator may choose to disable individual protections for their club, and doing so is that club's responsibility. Guardians are responsible for supervising their linked junior's use of the Service and should contact their club or connectMyClub with any safeguarding concerns.

5. Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Post or share content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes another person's rights;
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorisation;
  • Use the Service to contact or attempt to contact junior members outside of the safeguards the Service and the club have put in place;
  • Upload viruses or malicious code, or attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the Service;
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or resell the Service without our written permission;
  • Use the Service for any purpose that is fraudulent or unlawful.

We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaches these Terms, particularly where safeguarding or the security of other users is at risk.

6. Payments, subscriptions, and refunds

Membership fees, event fees, and any club subscription charges are processed securely through our payment provider, Stripe. By making a payment, you authorise us and our club customers to charge the payment method you provide for the amount shown at checkout.

Refunds for club membership or event fees are governed by the relevant club's own refund policy; connectMyClub facilitates payments on the club's behalf but is not the seller of the underlying membership or event. Where connectMyClub charges a club directly for use of the platform, our own refund terms will be set out in the relevant order or agreement with that club.

7. Content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you upload (such as posts, photos, and messages), but you grant connectMyClub and the relevant club a licence to host, display, and distribute that content within the Service for the purpose of providing it to you and other members.

The connectMyClub name, logo, website, and app (excluding user and club content) are owned by Arden:Twenty and protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without our written permission.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure, and we make no warranty as to the accuracy of content posted by clubs or other users.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, connectMyClub will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of clubs, their administrators, or other members, including decisions about membership, event safety, or supervision of junior members.

9. Third-party links and services

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services, such as Stripe for payments or Google Photos for shared albums. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time from within the connectMyClub app, or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to protect the safety of our users, particularly junior members.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or the law. We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date below. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
